This Privacy Policy describes how Vibrantsnap ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our services (the "Service").

We collect the following categories of information to operate and improve the Service:

• Account information: email address and authentication metadata
• Usage data: actions in the app, device/browser information, and diagnostic logs
• Content metadata: titles, durations, and technical details for recordings you create

The Vibrantsnap Chrome extension records the browser tab you choose. Nothing is captured outside a recording that you explicitly start and stop. During an active recording, the extension collects and uploads to your Vibrantsnap account:

• The video and audio of the recorded tab, and if you enable them your camera and microphone streams.
• Interaction metadata in the recorded tab: cursor position, clicks, scrolling, viewport size, and the pages visited (URL origin and path only, query parameters and fragments are never recorded). This metadata powers editing features such as automatic zooms.
• Typing activity as anonymous aggregates only (timing and character counts, never the text you type). Keyboard shortcuts (for example Ctrl+C) are recorded as key combinations. In password fields and other sensitive fields, nothing is recorded at all.
• Your account email address, used to show who is signed in.

Outside of an active recording, the extension does not track your browsing, does not read page content, and does not transmit any data. The extension uses your existing Vibrantsnap session cookie solely to authenticate uploads to your own account; it never reads cookies from other websites. Recordings and their metadata are stored in your account, are visible only to you and the people you share them with, and are never sold or shared with third parties for advertising.

We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited data with service providers who help us operate the Service (e.g., cloud hosting, payments, analytics) under strict contractual obligations, and when required by law.

We implement robust measures to protect your data from unauthorized access or misuse.
